House of Turkey located in Balboa Park, San Diego is a nonprofit organization to promote universal awareness of the diversity and richness of the Turkish culture, country and people. House of Turkey through international relations, cultural activities and social events, will sponsor better understanding of the Turkish way of life, its democratic policies and peaceful choice in global decisions.
Turkish Republic Day Celebration at Balboa Park

We had a colorful lawn program at Balboa Park to celebrate the Republic Day.
Turkish foods were served and accessories from Turkey such as evil eyes (nazar boncugu) and scarfs were sold.
Famouse Soprano Ayse Underhill gave a mini concert and Arabina Dans Group performance was enjoyed with crowd some of whom were dancing with them on the stage.

Wolfgang Puck Luncheon
House of Turkey, hosted an informational luncheon on Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 at Spago Restaurant, which is the first restaurant that was opened by world famous executive chef Wolfgang Puck before he started the well known restaurant chain in the U.S. The luncheon was sponsored by Merrill Lynch and was well attended by leaders of Turkish American community in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Also present was Hon. Hakan Tekin, Los Angeles Consul General of Republic of Turkey, and Dr. Mike Mustafoglu, honorary consul general of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
